Jos and I had a great time in WV! We didn’t make many plans…instead we just hung out and played and visited family and friends. It was nice. Let me tell you though, I have zero plans to travel with a toddler on a plane again any time soon. Especially without parent #2 there to help out! 😉 Don’t get me wrong, for the most part she was a trooper and several people even complimented me on what a happy and squeaky (she has a high-pitched voice) little girl she is but it was EXHAUSTING keeping her that way. Worth it, but still lots of work! So glad we made the long trip though and got to enjoy time with our WV family and friends (those that we got to see) before baby # 2 arrives. Now, I just need to convince them to visit us next year…
We arrived just before Easter so we enjoyed Easter egg hunting, egg coloring, and lots of candy eating!
Jos also enjoyed playing with her cousin, Kenzie. They played so well together! It was so cute…every time one got a hug from Mamaw or Papaw the other one was in line next to make sure they didn’t miss out. 😉
Tractor rides were definitely a highlight for Jos! She held on to the wheel and would barely look up from it. She was a very focused driver! One evening after riding with Papaw on the tractor, Uncle Russell came back on his tractor. Not knowing Jos and Papaw had just been on the tractor, he asked Jos if she wanted to ride. She made a beeline for him, not mentioning the fact that she just went on a tractor ride, and had two rides in a row!
Four wheeler rides, going out to lunch, park dates, and walks with Uncle Aaron were also enjoyed. We are super excited that Uncle Aaron might get to visit us this summer!! Woohoo!
The dogwood and apple blossoms were blooming and so pretty! I just love dogwood trees!
My 23 week prego pic!
Jos loved being at Mamaw P’s house and sitting in the big comfy chair with her!
Cousin time, playing outside, and visiting all the animals was tons of fun too!
Park date with friends I hadn’t seen in a while! So fun to see them and get to meet their adorable kiddos!
Hanging out with this little guy and his wonderful Momma was such a joy! We went hiking (Well, some of us did. One little girl was carried most of the way…any guesses?), played at the park, had lunch, and just enjoyed being together! Wade is such a little lover…he was so good at sharing with Jos and really wanted to hold her hand and give her hugs although she wanted no part of it. As we were leaving their house though on the last day, she said “I will miss you Wade!”, as we were driving away. 🙂
Got to see my lovely friend, Rach, and her cutie pie, Emma, for an afternoon! Always fun to get together with friends that even though you haven’t seen in a while it feels like just yesterday!
Ice cream and shoulder rides with Papaw!
Play time, donut shops, and hanging out with Mamaw was SO much fun!
What a wonderful time we had! Thanks for the wonderful memories WV family and friends! Now, when are you coming to visit us?!?
