Jos didn’t quite know what to think or do. She just stood there, staring, for some time and then finally went to her rocking moose. We had to help get her started with the unwrapping of presents but once we did she got the idea. 🙂
Little hands hard at work!
Jos gave Nala one of her presents but Nala had no interest until she was finished with the bully stick she had in her stocking.
Joslyn spotted her stocking and was very excited about the reindeer poking its head out of the top.
Christmas morning eggnog scones
We ran out of time and didn’t get a shot with Nala in front of the tree, but we did get the one above of just her before Jos woke up. 🙂 Technically, Nala is in there too….see her sleeping on the couch. 😉
After a long and snowy drive, we made it to Ken & Mary Lou’s for Christmas. Here is Joslyn with her new rolling popper (not sure what they are called).
Our niece, Sarah, taking her Santa duties very seriously! She is a pro at passing out the gifts!
Jos feeding her reindeer in the highchair Grampi made for her baby dolls! I almost edited this one but decided that her runny nose was part of the story. The poor girl got a cold Christmas Eve night followed by a fever and rash, but it only lasted a few days so it wasn’t too bad.
We took a walk Christmas evening to see this house that was decorated so nicely.
Thanks to Ken & Mary Lou for hosting and preparing a great Christmas meal and thanks for all of the lovely gifts everyone!
The next day we headed to the OR coast for 3 days.
We rented a house with Joel, Etsuko, and Etsuko’s cousin, Mari, who was visiting from Japan. Here is Uncle Joel reading to Jos…Uncle Joel was the person of honor while we were there. Joslyn couldn’t get enough of her Uncle Joel!
Watching Super Why with Daddy!
Coloring with Auntie Etsuko.
Jos enjoyed cocoa on two occasions while we were there and I thought the girl was going to down it without taking a breath! 😉 Needless to say, she loved it!
She also enjoyed hiding behind the blinds while we all pretended to not know where in the world she could be. Notice her special badge on her jacket. Joslyn got an honorary police officer badge while we were there but that story is for another day… 😉
We also went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and Jos drove us. 😉 Well, at least she enjoyed pretending to drive in the parking lot.
Just a little toddler tantrum in progress. Nothing to see here folks, move along! 😉 Joslyn was NOT happy I took a picture of this either…hehehe!
Lunchtime…eating cubes of cheese while we wait.
And on the final day, Mari, who was quite dedicated to the puzzle, placed the last piece on! Joel and Justin have done a puzzle at New Year’s for a number of years now but this one was one of the hardest. They didn’t think they would finish this one but with Mari’s help they were able to complete it!
Our New Year’s Day pancakes.
Joslyn enjoyed hers with Nutella!
More New Year’s Day fun….preparing food for Stella! All I can say is watch out when this girl has a knife! She was chopping that onion with some passion!
Happy 2013 everyone!
