I think if this girl had her way she would make crackers a separate food group! What is it about the crackers that get kiddos? Salty, crunchy crackers that dissolve easily in your mouth are just hard to resist and especially when they come in cute little bunny shapes that you can pretend to hop in the air. These little snack cups made by Munchkin are also awesome…little hands go in easily and snacks stay in although that doesn’t stop certain toddlers from banging them upside down in an attempt to get the crackers out that way as well. 😉
Luckily, she likes lots of other foods too and ones that are a bit healthier for her than crackers. Right now, Jos is also loving apples, frozen blueberries, vanilla yogurt that I freeze and cut into chunks for her, hummus, cucumbers, vegetable chili or soup (a great way to get lots of veggies in her!), pb&j, and turkey burgers.
But when it’s snack time, nothing satisfies her quite like her crackers! 😉
These were taken a few weeks ago in the field near our house. We were out riding around in the wagon (well, I’m sure you can guess who was riding and who was pulling ;)) and we took a break to explore in the field and watch airplanes.
It was a gorgeous, warm, sunny day, and I’m afraid we’ve seen our last of those for awhile as it’s starting to get colder this week and I think snow is predicted for the weekend. I have mixed feelings about that.
You better believe we had our crackers in tow as well for a little snack in the field!
Ahhh, watching airplanes and eating crackers…it doesn’t get much better!
I love how short her little legs look in this picture but think they have doubled in length since it was taken a month ago! She must be going through a growth spurt as she is eating like crazy which is unusual for her. Dare I say it, she is also not spitting food out much at all these days…keeping my fingers crossed this trend will continue as it makes meal times much more enjoyable!
