Of course, Miss Joslyn was an owl…what else? 😉
We went trick or treating tonight downtown, and our little owl seemed to forget all about being shy when people had candy to give her! Hmmmm…. She seemed to enjoy walking around and would walk right up to people and get a piece of candy and then deposit it in her bag.
Here she is now securing the candy in her bag. Sadly for our little owl most of her hard-earned candy will not be eaten by her. 😦 Hey, she’s only 16 months old, so maybe next year. I did let her taste a tiny piece of candy corn and a little bit of Reese’s peanut butter cup and she immediately began signing ‘more’ after tasting them. 🙂 I’m sure she’ll taste a few more things as well but not much this year. Our main motivation for going was just to enjoy seeing everyone dressed up and it was also great for Jos to experience it all. Although it was VERY busy and crowded, it was fun and I’d definitely go again, but I’m also looking forward to neighborhood trick or treating in the future.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
Also, a special thanks to our friend Katy who made up a special bucket of Halloween goodies for Miss Joslyn! We love you Katy!
