One year ago today, this precious little munchkin came into the world and made our lives richer, brighter, and definitely sweeter. It has been an incredible year full of challenges and joys, and it’s pretty amazing to realize this precious babe has been with us for a full year now although it seems like much longer. Happy Birthday Miss Joslyn! We love you SO much and are so happy that you are a part of our family.
These days you seem to be growing and changing right before our eyes! You started walking last Friday and of course you had to show off your new skills for Momma when we went out to take some one year old photos! You seem to be so proud of yourself every time you take a few steps, grinning and getting so excited that you fall down. You are getting so tall and don’t fit as nicely under the kitchen table anymore (every time you stand up you just about bump your head on the bottom of it), you love to laugh these big, silly laughs and have us mock you, you love the songs Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes and If You’re Happy and You Know It and you want to listen to the cd at least 10 times a day although we don’t always listen to it that much, you love dancing with Momma and especially like it when I dip you, you like playing peek-a-boo in the curtains, you still love your Sophie giraffe and squeak her when we are on walks in the stroller, you know about 20 signs now and you will sign ‘milk’ as soon as you wake up and see me followed by ‘please’ and the sweetest little face that no Momma could resist, you still love books and will often give me books to read to you, you have been giving LOTS of open-mouthed kisses (you are becoming quite the little lover), you seem to enjoy trying new foods and recently you tried ice cream and strawberries and they were both a hit, and you are getting cuter by the day (not that we are biased or anything). 🙂 Oh sweet girl, there are so many more things I could write about, but I’ll leave it at that for now. Momma and Dadda love you so much and we can’t wait to continue watching you grow and learn!
And this is waiting for you tonight my sweet baby. A banana cupcake with cream cheese frosting! And we haven’t even had your two parties yet. I have a feeling someone is going to be on a sugar high over the course of the next week! 😉
Not only is today Miss J’s birthday, but it’s also the day I married a wonderful husband and father! Happy Anniversary Babe! I can’t imagine life without you…you are amazing.
